To The New Mount Calvary Baptist Church Family:

Firstly, allow me to say that I'm grateful to God for you extending the call to me to become your Senior Pastor. Sunday, February 9, 2014 will forever be etched into my memory as a signal moment in my life.  I cannot say enough how humbled, but yet very excited I am to be given this blessed privilege to shepherd each one of you in the days ahead.

It goes without saying that there will be many challenges ahead, as we transition to a new phase in the life and ministry of New Mount Calvary, but as the Law of Mount Everest suggests, "As the challenge escalates, so does the need for teamwork."  God has orchestrated this wonderful partnership between myself and all of you, and ultimately, He is the One that will enable us to soar to higher heights.

With the guidance of His infallible Word, the aid of His Holy Spirit, and the undeniable power of prayer, we can do great works in His name, for not only his congregation, but for the city of Houston and beyond.  Jesus is quite clear in the last of His seven "I am" statements in the Gospel of John, chapter fifteen and verse five, when He declared, "I am the vine, you are the branches.  He who abides in me, and I in him, bears fruit; for without me, you can do nothing."  It is of the greatest necessity that we continue to look Godward as we progress toward the future, because with Him, all things are possible.

Allow me to say once again how elated I am to serve as your Pastor, and look forward to many years together.  I am always here to serve, and will be in prayer for each one of you.  May God's grace, peace, and prosperity rest upon each of you.

Your Pastor,
Rev. Christopher C. Moore
